15 venues, uncountable experiences
In 2014, the Zenélő Budapest (Budapest, City of Music) event series was launched on the initiative of Nándor Götz and Béla Götz. This series brings to life 15 of Budapest's most beautiful outdoor venues and historical squares each summer through the magic of music.
From the youngest to the eldest
The free concerts cater to all age groups with children's, youth, and classical programs, along with interactive sessions using specially designed community instruments. What makes the concert series unique is that the programs at each location perfectly complement the character of the architectural masterpieces there.
The concert series was realized with the support of the Ministry of Human Resources.
Outstanding Ensembles
This free event series uniquely revives the capital's history, its past and present culture, offering world-class productions every day of the week. The performers at Zenélő Budapest include outstanding local orchestras assembled for the summer festival: musicians and soloists from
the National Philharmonic,
the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra,
the Opera House,
Concerto Budapest,
and the Budapest Festival Orchestra
appear together at these outdoor concerts.
Iconic Locations
The audience can enjoy Zenélő Budapest's short mini-concerts in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, in the colonnade of the National Museum, at various points in Várkert Bazaar and Buda Castle, on the terrace of the Hegyvidék Cultural Salon, by the Music Fountain on Margaret Island, at Kossuth Square, in the Ludovika Campus/Orczy Park, and on the outdoor stage of the House of Hungarian Music.
